This smoke detector adopts photoelectric detector.Photoelectric technology is more sensitive than ionization technology at detecting large particles.
* Model LX-224AC/DC can be connected with mains power(110-220V AC). The smoke detector has a built-in 9V battery as backup power.
It can work normally in the event of a power outage.
*The smoke detector is power saving.Static current is less than 100uA.Alarm current is 12mA.But alarm sonority is higher than 85db at 3meters distance.
*Test: It is important to test the detector weekly to make sure it is working properly.
1.Press and hold the test button on the cover until the alarm sounds.If it doesn’t alarm,make sure the unit is receiving power and test it again.If it still does not alarm,replace it immediately or check the battery.
2.The light flashes once every 30 seconds in normal state, the light flashes once every 0.5 second while it alarms.
3.If the alarm makes low”chirp” sounds every about 30 seconds,it tells you to exchange battery.

*Test: After installation we must notice whether the led flash once about 40sec or not, if do, that shows normal.
Press and hold the test button on the cover,the smoke detector should sound.The alarm sound should be loud and pulsating.And while it alarms,the led will flash once a second.That indicates the smoke alarm is operating correctly. If the alarm makes low chirp sound every some time,it tells us to replace battery.Sometimes when you smoke, the unit will alarm, so you can just blow air to it to stop alarming.
